Department of Finance faculty members are dedicated to high quality in research and teaching, and have won awards for both their research and teaching. 

RESEARCH

The Journal of Finance article "Finance Research Productivity and Influence," ranked the department's research productivity during a period several years ago in the top 25 in total articles, among 661 academic institutions.  In recent years, our faculty members have published their research in a wide variety of journals, including:

Our faculty members are very active in the editorial process of numerous journals and are serving, or have served, as Editor, Guest Editor, Advisory Editor, Associate Editor, Members of Editorial Boards, and referees.  Our faculty members also serve or have served on numerous professional association boards of directors, and as President of the Southern Finance Association, President of the Eastern Finance Association, Treasurer of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, and Vice-President-Program for the Financial Management Association, Southern Finance Association, and Eastern Finance Association, among other positions.  On the teaching side, our faculty members are very well received by our students, and are authors of several books.

The department maintains an active seminar series in which outside speakers present their latest research.
