Student and Outreach Programs

Sponsorships and endowment for trademark initiatives that promote the exchange of knowledge provide the School of Business Administration with the resources needed to sustain and expand its student programming as well as its community and global outreach efforts. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, the programs outlined below.

Impact Conferences

The School of Business regularly hosts impact conferences that hundreds of attendees including some of the world's most prominent business and government leaders for discussions on leading business issues.

“The Business of Health Care” conference and the “University of Miami Real Estate Impact Conference,” each held annually, provide a unique opportunity for sponsoring organizations to be associated with some of the most important discussions of the day.

FIRST Step Program

At the core of the freshman experience is a ground-breaking course, Management 100, also known as FIRST Step. "FIRST" is an acronym for Freshman Integrity, Responsibility and Success through Teamwork. The course not only helps students understand key concepts, but also gives them hands-on experience practicing the concepts they learn. FIRST Step is designed to encourage first-year students to consider the notion that a corporate enterprise is part of the larger social fabric, and that ethical business practices and tangible relations with the local community are essential features of a business strategy for success. University of Miami Business Plan Competition

Sponsorship opportunties are available for the annual University of Miami Business Plan Competition, which is organized by the School of Business Administration. This competition encourages entrepreneurship among students throughout the University of Miami. The competition has been designed to simulate the real world where anyone can have an idea, but only those who follow through on their ideas and work through the details of starting a business will reap the rewards of success.
